Firecrest ND
6 stop ND filter

Neutral Density (or ND) filters produce a grey neutral effect and are used to reduce light in photography, enabling control over exposure and depth of field without affecting color or contrast. ND's are made in different densities according to the level of light reduction from 1 stop to 10 stops (even 13 and 16 stops) of light.
Colby has chosen the 6 stop ND because it is a versatile middle density perfect for creating misty and ethereal effects in water.
Firecrest ND Soft Edge Grad
The versatile 2 stop ND grad
Soft Edge graduated filters transition across the filter toward the center, and although there is a horizon line, it is subtle. This allows for horizon transitions to be more easily hidden in a scene, especially with an undulating horizon line such as mountains, buildings or trees.

Firecrest 0.6 ND Reverse Grad
A specialty 2 stop ND for sunrise and sunset

The reverse grad is a vital tool if you are looking to take sunrise or sunset shots. This is because the ND part of the grad is upside down, with the darker part at the middle of the filter and the lighter part at the top. This ensures the maximum light reduction when the sun is at or near the horizon.
Firecrest UltraSlim Magnetic Circular Polariser
The effect that polarisers have on photography is almost magical. Bright glaring reflections on water magically disappear. Foliage becomes deep and rich. Haze evaporates from the sky leaving clouds silhouetted against dramatic blue skies. Formatt-Hitech’s Firecrest UltraSlim polarisers are of the finest available. The circular polarisation pattern means that they work seamlessly with any digital sensor (linear polarisers from any manufacturer should be avoided when using CMOS sensors).

A bigger polariser giving you a wider view
With recent developments in optical design, it has become more common for lenses to have larger threads. To accommodate these advancements we have expanded our CPL (circular polarising filter) to 86mm. This means wider compatibility and better performance on a range of new wide-angle lenses. It also makes it compatible with a range of cinema lenses such as the Tokina 11-20MM T2.9.
The polariser can be fitted into either included rotating ring adapter, and becomes an integral part of the holder. The polariser is operated with an easy to use thumbscrew. This allows you to set your grads and then dial in the exact
polarising effect you want. Due to its free movement, this means you can leave the polarising filter (CPL) attached at all times and simply turn off the effect if not wanted. The construction of the filter also means you can use the CPL filter as an independent filter without the need of the holder.
More step rings, more flexibility.
For improved performance on an even wider range of lenses, the holder now ships with two rotating adapters as standard. These adapters allow the lens to sit closer to the filters helping with wide-angle photography. The kit
includes an 86mm - 86mm rotating adapter and a 86mm - 82mm adapter. For best performance on 77mm and smaller wide-angle lenses, it is recommended to use the included step rings from the 86-86mm rotating adapter.
