Description
Nightscape is a night filter explicitly designed to remove the light spectrums associated with light pollution and sodium lamps.
During Astro shots, the light pollution from the modern world can be hard to deal with and lower the contrast as well as giving muddy orange and brown tones. Nightscape is a Neodymium filter designed to give your images the true colours of the night sky. It also benefits from the latest in Double-sided coatings with both anti-reflection and waterproofing.
Nightscape is not just for Astro, the filter is also excellent at balancing lights in cityscapes and removing the ugly orange casts from street lamps giving you improved colours and contrast in your final images.
This filter can save you many hours of editing as well as improving the overall look of the final images with enhanced colours. By actually filtering specific spectrums of light it means you are capturing what you want without the pollution being present.

The Firecrest Nighscape Light Pollution filter blocks specific wavelengths of urban lights including sodium and mercury vapor lamp. The yellow and orange glow of street lamps is removed for urban night photography and the contrast of the sky is further enhanced for astrophotography by darkening the gradient of the sky background. The advantage of this is the filter highlights the stars which provides fantastic results for all nightscape and astro photography.
All glass filters will scratch if not handled correctly. Because Firecrest Nightscape is a coated filter and not bonded it is important that the user is careful in making sure the filter is used with this in mind.
Nightscape is a specialist filter and whilst it has chamfered edges, it still needs to be protected from edge damage and breakage.
It is the users responsibility to ensure the filter is maintained properly and kept free from dirt, foreign matters and scratches. Please use the pouch and cleaning cloth provided.
• This is a high quality product which is tested to exacting standards using an advanced spectrophotometer. Part of the standards adopted by our World Class Manufacturing include cross cutting the glass and pasting 3M adhesive tape onto it. Even by vertically pulling the adhesive tape several times, there is no peeling of the coatings!

THE NEW FIRECREST HOLDER MKII ATTACHED TO A TOKINA 11-20 T2.9 AND BLACK MAGIC POCKET 6K. WHEN PAIRED WITH THE FIRECREST ULTRA RANGE OF FILTER ALLOWS YOU TO GET CINEMA-QUALITY ND AT A FRACTION OF THE WEIGHT
A bigger polariser giving you a wider view
With recent developments in optical design, it has become more common for lenses to have larger threads. To accommodate these advancements we have expanded our CPL (circular polarising filter) to 86mm. This means wider compatibility and better performance on a range of new wide-angle lenses. It also makes it compatible with a range of cinema lenses such as the Tokina 11-20MM T2.9.
The polariser can be fitted into either included rotating ring adapter, and becomes an integral part of the holder. The polariser is operated with an easy to use thumbscrew. This allows you to set your grads and then dial in the exact
polarising effect you want. Due to its free movement, this means you can leave the polarising filter (CPL) attached at all times and simply turn off the effect if not wanted. The construction of the filter also means you can use the CPL filter as an independent filter without the need of the holder.
More step rings, more flexibility.
For improved performance on an even wider range of lenses, the holder now ships with two rotating adapters as standard. These adapters allow the lens to sit closer to the filters helping with wide-angle photography. The kit
includes an 86mm - 86mm rotating adapter and a 86mm - 82mm adapter. For best performance on 77mm and smaller wide-angle lenses, it is recommended to use the included step rings from the 86-86mm rotating adapter.
